Look-a-Like
the zine
"Look-a-Like" is a short zine composed of an array of comics about my life in 2019 and 2020. Every week I drew a 4-panel comic about a current event in my life and chose the best ones along with a few other longer comics to encapsulate my final school year at OCAD U. The title "Look-a-Like" comes from my real life experiences that I've had with people who look like me. During my life, especially in the past 3 years I've come across multiple people who look like me or even have the same name as me. Below are a few pages from the zine in which I used pencil, pen, ink, and pencil crayon.
the process
This zine was a huge personal project that I was able to pour my heart into over the past year. 2019 and 2020 were some of the most difficult years of my life and having this zine to channel my emotions was so helpful.
